It is not often we get a beautiful January day where no jacket is even required, but that is exactly the kind of gorgeous weather we had for Jeremiah & Kylee’s wedding! Brandi and I had so much fun working with this great group. The wedding and ceremony were both at the fabulous Distillery 244. We just love shooting there and all of the great locations we have available to venture to for photographs–literally just steps away!

Kylee looked absolutely stunning and quite literally brought tears to Jeremiah’s eyes when he turned around and saw her for the first time. I love that! We are so blessed to do what we do–capture those incredible moments for families that they will always treasure.

Distillery 244 did a lovely job creating a romantic atmosphere for Kylee & Jeremiah and the pieces they selected from Endless Treasures and Le Luci put the perfect finishing touches on a stunning wedding space. After the sweet ceremony and delicious dinner it was time for the new couple, wedding party, family and friends to party the night away under the direction of one of our very favorite DJs, Ryan Funk with Absolute Sound. It was the perfect event for a wonderful couple!

Congratulations Jeremiah & Kylee!!

The holidays are often family portrait time! When everyone is together it’s a great time to get your family portraits made which is exactly what the Riggs family recently did. Fortunately, we were able to get together on one of the relatively warm days between all of these days of frigid weather. The kids had a blast, everyone looked great and now they have photos to remember exactly how everyone looked at this stage of life–before the boys are eye level with Dad and graduations and weddings are being planned. Life goes by so quickly, make time to document your personal family history. Don’t let the winter months dissuade you–every month of the year is the perfect month for family portraits!

When your intended love, love, loves Christmas and you’re ready to propose, you pop the question at Botanica during their beautiful Illuminations event! Zach contacted me to plan the logistics of the proposal so we met up at Botanica to scout everything out and choose the perfect location. And I love the area we found–on a hill by the light of a chandelier. Gorgeous! A perfect night for a beautiful couple. Congratulations Zach & Stephanie!! I’m so happy for you and wish you all the best!

You may have heard photographers talk about how much they love “Golden Hour.” It’s a window of time before sunset when the sun is lower in the sky and bathes everything in beautiful, golden sunlight. When we get into late autumn it gets much earlier in the day, but no less beautiful! We were fortunate to be able to have a lovely afternoon of this gorgeous light for Lee & Molly’s engagement session. Their wedding will be next autumn and I’m crossing my fingers that we have the same awesome weather on their wedding day that we did on their engagement session day!

Congratulations Lee & Molly! I’m so looking forward to photographing your wedding next fall!!

It has been a blessedly busy Fall here at Lola Jo! Autumn is always one of our busiest seasons of the year and 2017 was no exception with many weddings, portrait sessions and even a visit from Santa! My 2017 wedding season draws to a close with the lovely Hutchinson wedding of Mace and Amanda. Brandi and I had so much fun photographing this wedding with the last remnants of the lovely fall color before the cold, winter wind came and carried all the leaves away. Their church was so picturesque and was filled with all of their family and friends for a memorable day of celebration. It was a wonderful day from start to finish and we loved being a part of it!

Congratulations Mace & Amanda!!
