Kristin + Thomas

I recently met up with Kristin & Thomas to photograph their engagement session on a wet and windy afternoon.  We tried to work fast to beat the light rain showers that were approaching but we just didn’t quite make it.  That didn’t stop us from getting some great shots and finding some creative new locations to work with.  I had a great time working with them and loved incorporating their posing ideas into the shots as well.  And look how great they look!  Could they make my job any easier?!  By the time we were getting ready to finish up it was just barely raining so we dashed out in to the sprinkles to get a few shots with the umbrella.  I loved this little series of shots as a gust of wind caught us both by surprise.  The first shot is going as planned then you can see Kristin opening her eyes in surprise as the wind starts bending the umbrella backward.  It even caught me by surprise and you can see that my composition on the shot bumped up when the wind hit me causing them to be positioned higher in the frame.  The final expression on her face just makes me smile every time.

Thanks Kristin & Thomas for braving the elements!  Hopefully we’ll have a much drier wedding day!
