We are finally unpacked from the busy Wichita Bridal Expo this weekend held at Century II.   It was great to see all of our past, present, and new brides at the show.  We also got to catch up with some of our vendor friends and meet new ones.  I just wanted to do a quick blog post featuring some of our favorite vendors.  Some of which we did not get images for including Stems (awesome florists) , Prairie Rose Chuckwagon, Blue Moon, Perfect Touch Custom Weddings, and Prairie Flowers which can be found on Facebook.

We had a great time earlier in the summer photographing Melissa & Kyle’s engagement session and knew they would be a dream to work with on their wedding day–and we weren’t disappointed  :-)  Melissa looked lovely.  I can’t tell you how many times one of us would take a photo and say, “This looks like the cover of a bridal magazine!”  They looked amazing but, even better, they were having so much fun.  There’s nothing better than a couple who is so in love and can’t wait to tie the knot.  And we had a blast working with their fun wedding party–they were up for anything and really made the pictures amazing.

The ceremony was on the grand stone patio behind the estate home with the guests seated below.  After exchanging vows and rings, Kyle and Melissa lit their unity candle as the sun began to set.  After a celebratory drink with their wedding party we were able to take advantage of the spectacular sunset for some beautiful portraits.  Then it was time to party!  The wedding party made their entrance into the ballroom and then the new Mr. & Mrs. were announced!  After the traditional cake cutting it was time for the first dances.  Lois captured one of my favorite photos of the dances when Kyle spontaneously dipping Melissa at the end of their dance–love it!

After we finished with portraits it was time for the ceremony on the patio overlooking the golf course.  The ceremony was touching and I love the smiles and looks on their faces–so in love!  At this time of year the sun sets rapidly so we quickly grabbed a few quick sunset photos before it was time for the reception.  After dinner and the first dances Kristin, Thomas and the bridesmaids met me outside so we could play with the sparklers for some fun photos.  I always love doing these, they are just so fun!  We spelled out love and were trying to think of what else we could spell out with four people–9 10 11 of course!
