A beautiful wedding in an historic venue is the perfect way to spend a lovely autumn Saturday. The Kansas Aviation Museum made a wonderful backdrop for all of Allison & Robert’s wedding photos. I loved all of the art deco architecture that we were able to incorporate into their photos. They were married on the front steps before their friends and family and the reception was held inside the museum in the atrium. Everything was picture perfect and we loved being a part of such a special day.

Congratulations Allison & Robert!

It is such an honor to be able to photograph clients as their families grow and move through life’s many stages. I’ve had the privilege of photographing two of these darling littles since they were newborns and now here we are capturing this family’s extended family portraits. It was a busy session and I so appreciate everyone’s efforts to wrangle kids and tolerate the early autumn heat. The kiddos had a great time and that night I think we all (kids, parents and photographer!) slept well after running around the park trying to coax smiles and keep the attention of all the little (mostly!) happy faces 🙂

Craig and Rachel recently came into town for their engagement session. They were referred to us by one of our summer wedding couples, Corey & Nikole. There’s no higher compliment than a referral from one of our clients and we are so grateful for those wonderful recommendations!

Fall seems to finally be here and I’m so enjoying the beginning change of season in our portraits. The trees and greenery are just starting to show their subtle color changes and I love it! We’ll have a completely different season for their wedding this winter, so it’s always nice to have different looks to the engagement and wedding portraits. Thanks for coming into town for the session Rachel & Craig!

It’s that time of year! Autumn is the busiest time of year for photographers–everyone wants the lovely fall colors. The McCormick family decided it was time to update their family portraits and despite the weather being a little warmer than typical fall weather, we were able to get some great portraits 🙂

Thank you McCormick family!

I was so excited when TJ contacted me to request I secretly photograph his proposal to Erin! We coordinated all of the details and locations and when the big day was there I carefully hid behind a tree to capture the special moment. Thankfully the park had cleared and everyone had made their way to other areas of the park so when TJ walked Erin over to where they had visited on their first date, the park was all theirs. He dropped to one knee and she put her hands over her face in complete surprise. After her yes(!) he placed the ring on her finger and they shared a hug and a kiss. I then stepped out from behind the tree to congratulate them and capture some newly engaged portraits.

It was such a fun adventure and I couldn’t be happier for them. Congratulations TJ & Erin!!
